Real Madrid Real Madrid squad list: Ramos and Carvajal included for Gladbach match

Casemiro: At Real Madrid you don't play finals, you win them

Zidane welcomes back his entire defence

Zinedine Zidane has been dealt a boost ahead of Real Madrid's crucial Champions League match at home to Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday, as Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal have returned in time to be included in the squad.

Ramos will come into the centre of defence alongside Raphael Varane, but Carvajal's place in the team is not guaranteed due to the impressive form of Lucas Vazquez at right-back.

It is in midfield where Zidane's options are somewhat short, with Martin Odegaard and Fede Valverde out injured. Karim Benzema is the only out-and-out No.9 in the squad too, as Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz are both unavailable. Eden Hazard remains out.

Real Madrid's squad to face Gladbach is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin, Diego Altube.

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Nacho Fernandez, Marcelo, Alvaro Odriozola, Ferland Mendy.

Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Isco, Sergio Arribas.

Forwards: Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes.

However, when everything is added and subtracted, who are we to say anything about this choice ?! In a 3-4-3 formation, the best team in history looked like this: Yashin - Kafu, Beckenbauer, Maldini - Xavi, Mateus, Maradona, Pele - Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldo. According to many comments, most of the disagreements were in the midfield, besides Xavi and Lothar Matheus, there were also Zinedine Zidane and Andres Iniesta. The honor of our country was...
